Refund Policy

At Blacklight Lures, we stand behind the quality of our gear. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL), we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

1. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for "change of mind" (e.g., you decided you didn't want the item, found it cheaper elsewhere, or the product didn't meet your personal expectations despite being accurately described).

3. Inspection & Damages

Please inspect your order upon reception. We ask that you contact us at blacklightluress@gmail.com as soon as possible (preferably within 7 days of delivery) if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

4. Wear, Tear, and Fish Damage

Due to the nature of fishing, we cannot offer refunds or replacements for damage caused by fish, snags, impact with rocks/structures, or general wear and tear during use. Damage occurring after the product has been used is not considered a manufacturing fault under the Australian Consumer Law.

5. How to Initiate a Return (ACL Claims Only)

If you believe your product has a manufacturing fault:

  • Contact us at blacklightluress@gmail.com with your order number and clear photos/videos of the fault.

  • If your return is accepted under ACL, we will provide you with instructions on how and where to send your package.

  • Important: Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

6. Shipping Costs

If a product is confirmed to have a major failure under the ACL, we will cover the cost of return shipping or reimburse your reasonable postage costs.

7. Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.
